Checking the Stator Windings

Prerequisites

Generator shut down

„

Multimeter

Procedure

Follow the procedure below to check the stator windings.

1. Remove the end cap 

(a)

 from the generator.

2. Disconnect the yellow (Y), red (R), black (B), and green (G) wires from the alter-

nator.

3. Measure the resistance in Ohms between the red and yellow wires. Also mea-

sure between the black and green wires. See chart below.

Is the correct resistance measured for your machine?
