Overlocking
Sew the zigzag stitch along the edge of the
fabric so that the right needle entry point is
just outside the edge of the fabric.
1 Right needle entry point
Appliqués
Secure the appliqué with glue or tacking
stitches. Sew the appliqué with the zigzag
stitch so that the right needle entry point is just
outside the appliqué.
Patchwork
Fold the seam allowance of the fabric, place
it on the bottom fabric and sew it so that the
stitch connects the two pieces of fabric.
Sewing curves
To sew curves, set a shorter stitch length to
create a finer stitch. Sew slowly and make
sure that the distance between the seam and
the edge of the fabric is even when sewing the
curve.
Satin stitch
Set the stitch length dial to the symbol to
sew satin stitches (narrow zigzag stitch).
The zigzag stitch must be selected on the
pattern selector dial.
