Straight stitch
1 Tack the pieces of fabric before sewing.
2 Insert the standard presser foot. Make
sure that the fabric edge is behind the
sewing needles by at least 3 to 5 stitch
lengths so that reverse stitching is
possible. Sew 3 to 4 stitches in reverse
(press and hold the reverse stitch button)
and continue sewing.
3 Reduce the sewing speed towards the
end of the seam, press the reverse stitch
button to sew a few stitches in reverse
and then stop the machine.

Changing the stitch length
Set the desired stitch length at the stitch
length dial.
Stretch straight stitch
Tack the fabrics together and sew along the
tacking stitches without pulling the fabric.
The stretch straight stitch produces a
stretchable, very tear-resistant seam that is
very suitable for closing seams,
reinforcements or bar tacks subject to
increased stresses.
Changing the stitch length
Turn the stitch length dial from to “+” or “-
” to enlarge or reduce the size of the pattern
for the stretch straight stitch.
