Useful tips
Sewing corners
Stop the machine at the corner with the
needle down. Raise the presser foot lifter and
turn the fabric. Lower the presser foot lifter
and continue sewing.
1 Lowered needle
Sewing at edges at a spacing of less
than 3 mm
Tack a thread into the piece of fabric at the
corners. Turn the fabric once you have
reached the corners and support the fabric
feed by carefully pulling the tacking thread.
2 Tacking thread
Sewing curves
(with straight stitch)
Sew slowly and make sure that the distance
between the seam and the fabric edge is even
when sewing the curve.
(with zigzag stitch)
Set a small stitch length and make sure that
the distance between the seam and the
fabric edge is even when sewing the curve.
For narrow curves, stop the sewing with the
needle lowered, lift the presser foot, turn the
fabric, lower the presser foot and continue
sewing.
