8 Stretched pattern
Sewing a test seam
Caution: Risk of injury!
• Always make sure during sewing to
observe the position of the needle. Keep
both hands away from moving parts when
sewing. There is an acute risk of injury.
• Do not pull the fabric when sewing.
• Do not use bent needles for sewing.
• During sewing, the sewing needle must
not touch any pins, zip teeth or other
objects. Caution: Risk of injury!
• If the fabric pulls together, check the
thread tension and the stitch length.
1 Switch on the machine at the power
switch.
2 Select the required pattern (see page 28,
29).

and “Stitch length/stitch width dial” on
pages 9 and 10.
3 Insert the correct presser foot and place
the fabric below it.
Guide approx. 80 mm of the upper and
lower thread to the back below the
presser foot.
Caution
Always insert the correct presser foot for the
desired pattern.
By means of the hand wheel, check that the
needle does not hit the presser foot. If an
incorrect presser foot is used, the needle may
hit the presser foot and thus bend or break.
