2. Turn on the V-Switch.
3. On the V-Switch, verify that the front panel Link LED for the RJ-45 port connected to the Galaxy system
is illuminated.
4. Make sure the left connectivity LED on the Galaxy system’s VC-NIC is illuminated.
PRI Connections
T1/PRI
The T1/PRI network adapter supports T1 network connectivity. The board may include a CSU interface for
connection directly to a T1/PRI line, or a DSX interface for connections to an external T1 CSU device. The board
includes an IMUX, enabling you to achieve higher line rates by multiplexing up to 23 B channels when used in
PRI mode. When using Dedicated mode, line rates up to T1 (1.536 Mbps) may be achieved.
The external T1 CSU device may be provided by the T1 service
provider. With PBX systems and internal networks, the T1 CSU
device is a component of the network.

You can connect one T1 line to the T1/PRI card.
Setup is not complete until ISDN or Dedicated settings are
configured in the V
TOUCH
software.
After the software is configured, the left LED should be constantly glowing to denote connectivity. If
both LEDs are on, or if the right LED is red, the T1 service must be checked.
E1/PRI
The E1/PRI network adapter supports E1 network connectivity. The board includes an IMUX, enabling you to
achieve higher line rates by multiplexing up to 30 B channels when used in PRI mode. When using Dedicated
mode, line rates up to E1 (2.044 Mbps) may be achieved.
