Check that start switch is connected correctly.

Check cable harness and connectors between
CIU and start switch.

Check function of start switch.

circuit to lower voltage

Short circuited CIU start signal cable to battery
negative.

•

Faulty start switch.

Suitable action:

Check that start switch is connected correctly.

Check contact pressure in socket 35 in the CIU
connector.
