Universal Joint Service

NOTICE!

The universal joint is not servicable. No parts are 

offered for the u-joint. Testing has shown that when 

any part of the u-joint fails the other parts are also 

compromised.

The complete u-joint must be replaced.

Pinion Bearing Carrier Disassembly

1.

Secure holding fixture 

3849658 

in vise as shown.

2.

Place bearing carrier in fixture as shown.

3.

Use top cover screws to secure housing to fixture.

4.

Tighten screws to secure housing in fixture.

5.

Use prybar or large screwdriver through u-joint and against bolt on 
fixture to prevent u-joint from turning
