• If a contact voltage is present on the metal part of the test object, the measure-
ment is interrupted and the following warning is displayed:
• Otherwise, the measurement of the protective conductor resistance (R
PE
) is
started with automatic polarity reversal and the highest measured value of both
measurements is displayed.
• After passing the R
PE
test, the test of the protective conductor current I
LEAK
is
performed as a continuous measurement for a maximum of 30 seconds. To
terminate the measurement prematurely, press the button (7).
• If the protective conductor current is lower than the permissible limit value, a
tick symbol appears next to the “I
LEAK
” symbol.
• The overall test is considered passed when “PASS” is shown on the display.
• If the button (7) is pressed without connecting the measurement adapter to the
GT-6000, the following warning is displayed:
The protective conductor current measurement is carried out with a current transformer in the
protective conductor of the measurement by means of the direct measurement method. The test
object must be placed on an insulated surface. No part of the test object may have a connection to
earth potential. Otherwise, there is a risk of leakage currents to earth influencing the result of the
measurement.
