• Press the button (2) to give the measured value a positive rating. A tick symbol appears next to the R

The test sequence continues.
• Press the button (3) to give the measured value a negative rating. An X symbol appears next to the R
PE
symbol.
“FAIL” appears on the display to confirm that the measurement has been stopped.
• Once the R
PE
test is passed, the insulation resistance is measured automatically.
• Depending on whether the value is above or below the limit value, an X symbol or a tick symbol is displayed next
to the R
ISO
symbol.
• Once the R
ISO
test is passed, the external conductor (L) and the neutral conductor
(N) are tested for open circuits and short-circuits.
• A passed open circuit and short-circuit test is indicated by a tick symbol next to
the cable pictogram and the word ‘Good’.
• THE “PASS” symbol confirms successful testing of the entire test sequence.
• If the open circuit and short-circuit test yields a fail, one of the following symbols
is displayed instead of the “Good” symbol:
• “OPEn” symbol: confirms a break in the lead of the external conductor (L) or neutral conductor (N)
• “SHOr” symbol: confirms a short-circuit between the external conductor (L) and the neutral conductor (N)

the GT-6000.
• Connect the supplied IEC low-power cable to the GT-6000 using the low-
power connection (10).
• Connect the lead to be tested to the test socket (1) on the GT-6000 and
to the safety plug on the IEC low-power cable.
• Press the button (2) to start the automatic test sequence for protection
class 1.
• The remainder of the test sequence is the same as that outlined in Sec-
tion 9c).
Note for testing of three-phase leads:
• If necessary, remove the mains cable from the mains connection (11) on
the GT-6000.
• The three-phase lead must be connected to the test socket (1) on the
GT-6000 using the optional passive measurement adapter.
• Insert the 4 mm safety connector of the test lead with alligator clip into
the 4 mm safety socket (9) and establish a connection to the protective
conductor of the CEE connector on the lead to be tested.
• Press the button (2) to start the automatic test sequence for measure-
