For hand starting the engine by handle, in emergency case
The operation have to be taken into consideration in case the boat remains for many months
without up-keeping and there is the risk to remain with the several batteries on board completely out
of order.
Note: Before using the handle, the starting can be attempt by the usual electrical starting, but
helped by the automatic decompression device: the effort is reduced considerably so even
a discharged battery, if not completely dead, allows the starting. (Look at Farymann
manual for further descriptions).
For a correct air replacement
Around the PAGURO have at least the shown tolerance; of course the ambient have to be
naturally vented with more then one external connection.
For fixing the PAGURO on board
A solid, level mounting platform is very important for the proper operation of your generator.
Select a location that will allow adequate space on all sides for ventilation and servicing. Locate the
generator away from living quarters, and away from bilge splash and vapors.
The mounting platform may be of wood, metal or fiberglass. It must be horizontal and should
be as small as possible to minimise vibrations. A low mounting platform is preferred because it will
be stable and easy to build; a higher mounting platform must be very sturdy to avoid resonance and
vibrations (see illustrations).
