5.3 Sample Applications
Example 1: Recording without external control (detectors)
If you wish to record video images without connecting an external sensor,
door contact, PIR, detector or the like to one of the image recording inputs,
this can be configured easily with the appropriate settings. Configure the set-
tings for the appropriate camera for an open cicuit recording input, in other
words for the
High
state:

Select the desired camera.

Set the dropdown lists

and
Pulse -
to "OFF".

Select "ON" in the dropdown list

Enter the interval between the recording of consecutive imag-

Recording can also be controlled by means of the timer.
Example 2: Recording with the integrated motion detection
without external control
You can control the recording with the integrated software motion detector
without using any external detectors. With the following settings, you can
configure the digital image archiving device to only record images when mo-
tion is detected in the video image:

Select the desired camera.
■
Set the dropdown lists

to "OFF".

Select "", "Motion" or "Motion -" in the dropdown

Example 3: Recording with closed control input
The image recording can also be controlled by external events at any time. To
this end, a detector that opens or closes the input when the event to be re-
corded takes place is connected to the appropriate image recording input.
The following settings activate the recording when the input is closed:
