4.3 Local Access from a PC
Hard disks from the image archiving device can be accessed easily from a PC
with Vista SmartCam Player software. The removable hard disk frame or the
PC kit USB for connecting the hard disk to the PC is included with the Vista
SmartCam Player software.

Processing
images
Each SmartDisc image can be saved or copied to the clipboard for printing or
subsequent processing. This makes it simple to transfer the data to other ap-
plications.
Exporting images Images that have been saved in the PC archive can be exported as JPEG or
bitmap images.
Additional information
All hard disks may only be formatted and managed by SmartDisc. The data
on the hard disks may not be changed with a PC.

The hard disk can only be accessed in a PC with the Vista SmartCam Player
software.

Do not save any other files on the removable hard disk. No files may be
deleted, renamed or modified in any way.

If you check the disk in a PC (ScanDisk), no corrections may be made (READ
ONLY).

Defragmentation programs, virus checkers and the like may not be used
with these hard disks.
