5. COMMUNICATION
This chapter contains information about the communication ports (RS232 and USB), the connectivity cards, the emergency
power off (EPO), the load segments and the Power Management Software UPSilon2000.
Refer to page 35 «Rear covers» for the model figures.
5.1. Communication options and control terminals
5.1.1. Installing communication options and control terminals
Perform the following steps for the installation:

Install the appropriate connectivity-/interface card and/or the necessary cables. Connect the cables to the
appropriate location.
②
Route and tie the cable(s) out of way.
③
Continue as described under point «4.5. Start up and Turn off the UPS» on page 23 to start up the UPS.
The UPS has serial communication capabilities through the USB and RS232 or through a connectivity card in the available
communication bay. The UPS supports two serial communication devices according to the following table:

NOTE:
