Fault
mode
When the UPS fails, the red warning LED lights and the buzzer beeps. The UPS
turns on fault mode.
The UPS stops the output and the LCD display indicates the fault code. When this
is the case, you can press the «MUTE» key to stop the beeping temporarily while
waiting for repair/maintenance. You can also press the «OFF» key to shut down
the UPS – when it is confirmed that there is
no
serious fault.
NOTE
: For information about the fault codes, refer to table 24 «Warning
messages and fault codes».
Standby
mode
When the UPS is connected to the mains without turning it on, then the UPS will
work in standby mode to charge the battery. No indicator shows this mode.
4.5. Start up and Turn off the UPS
4.5.1. Start up
4.5.1.1. Turn on the UPS in LINE mode:

Once the mains is plugged in, the UPS will charge the battery. At this moment, the LCD shows that the output voltage
is 0, what means that the UPS has no output. If it is expected to have an output from bypass, you can set the bPS at
«ON» by means of the LCD setting interface.

Press and hold the ON key longer than ½ second to start the UPS. The inverter starts.
③
After starting, the UPS performs the self-test function. The LED lights and goes out circularly and orderly. After
completing the self-test, the UPS switches into LINE mode and the corresponding LEDs light. The UPS operates now
in LINE mode.
4.5.1.2. Turn on the UPS by DC power without mains (cold start):
①
When the mains power is disconnected, press and hold the ON key longer than ½ second to start the UPS.

The operation of the UPS in start process is almost the same, as when there would be mains current. After finishing
the self-test, the corresponding LED lights and the UPS operates in battery mode.
4.5.2. Turn off
4.5.2.1. Turn off the UPS in LINE mode:
①
Press and hold the OFF key longer than ½ second to turn off the UPS.

After the UPS shutdown, the LEDs extinct and there is no output. But if an output is needed, you can set the bPS at
«ON» in LCD setting menu.
4.5.2.2. Turn off the UPS with DC power without mains:
①
Press and hold the OFF key longer than ½ second to shut down the UPS.
②
When turning off the UPS, it executes first a self-test. The LEDs light and extinct circularly and orderly until there is
nothing displayed any more.
4.5.3. UPS self-test / mute-test
①
When the UPS is in LINE mode, press and hold the self-test/mute key longer than 1 second. The LEDs light and extinct
circularly and orderly. The UPS goes into self-test mode and tests its status. I will exit automatically after finishing the
test. The LED indication returns to previous status.

When the UPS is in battery mode, press and hold the self-test/mute key longer than 1 second and the buzzer stops
its beeping. When pressing and holding the self-test/mute key for 1 more second, it will restart to beep again.
4.5.4. Configuration of the battery settings
Set the UPS corresponding to the number of EBPs installed. To ensure maximum battery runtime, configure the UPS for the
correct number of EBPs. Refer to table 8 for the appropriate setting of battery numbers and type. Use the UP and DOWN
scroll keys to select the number of battery strings according to your UPS configuration.
