Checking the antifreeze concentration in the brine circuit
(type BWC and WWC with intermediate circuit)
Check the antifreeze concentration
and record it in the service report from
page 143. The brine and the intermediate circuit
must be protected against frost down
to
−
15 °C. Otherwise, replace the heat
transfer medium.
Checking the frost stat (type WWC)
1. Set the frost start to 1.5 °C.
2. Start the heat pump (see page 51,
point 1 and 2).
The heat pump must shut down at
a primary outside temperature of 1
to 2 °C.
3. Reduce the water inlet volume. The
flow switch will shut the heat pump
down earlier than the frost stat at
water inlet temperatures (primary
flow) above +9 °C.
Checking the flow switch (type WWC)
1. Start the primary pump, the sec-
ondary pump and the compressor:

2. Reduce the circulating volume in
the primary circuit.
The flow switch should respond at
approx. 50% of the circulation
volume (the compressor is
switched OFF).
3. Close the programming unit flap
and open again immediately.
If the flow switch has correctly
switched the compressor OFF, then
the programming unit display must
show the fault message "C8: Safety
chain".
If the flow switch only switches the
compressor OFF at substantially
lower circulation volumes or not at all:

check the power connections of the
flow switch
