CLEANING PARTS OF THE VEHICLE
CONTAMINATED BY LIQUIDS

1.5.1

CONTAMINATED WITH COOLANT

Cleaning upholstery contaminated with coolant
1. Remove the coolant stains with the aid of a VDL Bus &

Coach upholstery cleaner.

2. Try to remove the contamination as quickly as possible.

Older stains are more difficult to remove.

Cleaning metal or plastic components contaminated with coolant
1. In the event of contamination with coolant, the coolant

must be removed from the metal or plastic components
with a cloth.

2. Rinse the surface afterwards with warm water. In the

event of serious contamination, a steam cleaner may
also be used.

3. If a steam cleaner is used, do not aim the spray too long

at the same place, because this can result in the pene-
tration of moisture.

CONTAMINATED WITH DIESEL

Cleaning upholstery contaminated with diesel
1. Remove the diesel stains with the aid of a VDL Bus &

Coach upholstery cleaner.

2. Try to remove the contamination as quickly as possible.

Older stains are more difficult to remove.

Cleaning metal or plastic components contaminated with diesel
1. In the event of contamination with diesel, the diesel must

be removed from the metal or plastic components with a
cloth.

2. Rinse the surface afterwards with warm water. In the

event of serious contamination, a steam cleaner may
also be used.

3. If a steam cleaner is used, do not aim the spray too long
