Video Settings
With the video settings you can alter various image quality param-
eters while a connection exists. First, you can choose between two
resolution levels:
l
A high-resolution mode, the “Common Intermediate Format
(CIF)” which provides a local resolution of 288 rows x 352 pix-
els. This is the default resolution used by
VideoJet X.21/
G.703
.
l A low-resolution mode, called “Quarter CIF (QCIF)”, with 144
rows x 176 pixels.
Selection of the lower resolution might be suitable when the data
rate is limited and/or, in certain circumstances, a higher image
refresh rate takes priority over a high local resolution. You can
switch from one mode to the other by clicking on the relevant but-
ton.
You can use the slider “Preference” to adapt the quality of the video
signal to be transmitted to the requirements of a particular applica-
tion within broad limits. Moving the slider towards “Sharpness”
improves the resolution of the video. The transmitted frame rate is
reduced but the attention to detail is increased. If more importance
is placed on smooth movements, the slider can be moved towards
‘Motion’. The values displayed below the slider are a reference for
precise retrieval of a particular setting.
