The configuration and setting options of the
VideoJet X.21/
G.703
-unit with the supplied software
NCTerminal
are described
in this chapter. There are two possible ways of configuring the
Vid-
eoJet X.21/G.703
:
l Remote configuration while connected to a remote
VideoJet
X.21/G.703
or
l Local configuration without connection, using the
NCTerminal
terminal program contained in the scope of supply of the
Vid-
eoJet X.21/G.703
.
The
NCTerminal
software allows configuration and control of the
VideoJet X.21/G.703
unit even if no connection to the remote
partner exists. This software is very useful, for instance, if a control
centre with receiving monitors etc. already exists and is to remain
in operation. A
VideoJet X.21/G.703
can then be used as a
receiver with video output. The local and remote end can be config-
ured from a single location if connected via the X.21/G.703 line. In
this case, a PC for video playback is not required.
