By applying pressure with the palm, start to tilt lever

towards the handle.
Slowly depress the lever within about two-thirds of the stroke, so that the cutting disc can rotate, and the engine does not
stop.
5)
After starting the cutting disk, press the lever fully against the handle and hold it firmly.
The cutting disk start is accompanied by partial slipping of the V-belt and associated accompanying phenomena (knocking,
whistling). When the belt has been run in, these effects usually disappear.
With a new or cold engine, the engine may go out during the first few starts of the cutting disk drive. When the engine has
warmed up, this will no longer happen. If the cutting disk drive can not be started even after warming up the engine, make
sure that there is no fault per
Table 24

RIVING
Shift all the gears only when the machine is at a standstill and with the travel clutch disengaged, never while
driving.
Before starting reversing, especially when leading the machine on foot, make sure that there is enough space
behind you to safely manoeuvre the machine and that the surface is free of bumps that would adversely affect
your stability.
Always press the clutch lever to the handlebar handle. If the lever is not fully pressed, the V-belt gets damaged.

- Engage one of the gears using the shift lever.

- Press lever on the right handle down to the handle. The machine will immediately move forward. Once you press the
lever and the machine starts moving forward, adjust your walking speed to the machine speed.

TOPPING
Always turn OFF the engine and wait for the cutting disk to stop before performing any work in the close vicinity
of the machine! Before leaving the machine, always turn its engine off!
Never leave the engine running at maximum speed or idling for a long time with the clutch of the cutting disc drive and the
clutch of the wheel drive switched off! Parts of the drive train (V-belt, belt pulley, coupling pulley, etc.) may get damaged!
•
To stop the machine travel, release the lower lever on the right handle –
Fig.
B
. The machine travel will stop, but the cutting disc
will continue rotating.
•
The cutting disc drive will stop after you release the lever on the right handle –

. The automatic brake will brake the cutting
disc.

When mowing, guide the machine partially approx. 5-10 cm from the edge of the front cover in the cut vegetation (shown in
Fig.
from the operator’s view).
It is always necessary to adjust the cutting width and the travel speed of the vegetation type according to the current local
conditions.

Value
Typical vegetation parameters
Gear 1
1,88 km/hour
Very tall (> 80 cm); dense to very dense; wet; lying down; mix of new and old vegetation;
On the plain terrain and on the slopes; in confined spaces
Gear 2
2,76 km/hour
Tall (50 - 80 cm); medium density; dry; on the plain terrain and on the slopes
Gear 3
3,29 km/hour
Medium height (30 - 50 cm); dry; low density; on the plain terrain
Gear 4
4,57 km/hour
Low (< 30 cm); dry to dry; very low density; only on the plain terrain
Table 20: Speed Selection
•
If the vegetation is permanently maintained for several years by regular mowing and harvesting of the cut vegetation, it tends to
feature the same parameters over the entire area.
•
Irregularly mown vegetation usually features different parameters and quality within one area. Therefore, use the option to select
different speeds according to the current state of the vegetation and not overload the machine and its engine unnecessarily.
•
The table does not describe the potential combinations of vegetation parameters. If one of the possible parameters is listed in another
line, select
always
a lower travel speed.
Example:
Tall
(50 – 80 cm)
from the Gear 2 line
; dry; low density; on the plain terrain
from the Gear 3 line
-> Select
gear 2 2.76
km/hour.
