The following adjustments will be required through daily maintenance.
Read this chapter carefully before adjusting any parts.
Depending on the type of film you want to print with
the FEP series, adjust height of a heater section unit to
change force to push types against the film and achieve
beautiful printing.
When the print is so light and blur
Turn the position adjusting nut(s)
counterclockwise to increase print pressure.
When the print is heavy and making mark
of types on the film
Turn the position adjusting nut(s) clockwise to
decrease print pressure.
When the print is so heavy that each
character is difficult to read
Turn the position adjusting nut(s) clockwise to
decrease print pressure. Adhere glass tape or
semi-transparent tape on a rubber compression
pad.

Warning
Adjust parts according to the following directions. Do not adjust parts according to other methods not
described in the operating instructions since it can cause burning or malfunction of the printer.
Warning
Always unplug power plug before adjusting any parts. There is a danger of electrocution if conducted
with the plug still inserted. Make sure to cool the heater section unit before replacing types or there is a
danger of burning.
However, the heater section height must be adjusted while the heater section unit is heated with printer
power turned ON. Be careful not to burn yourself.
