Enter the contact person for your vNet device (name,
phone number and/or email address, maximum 63
characters).

To change the device name, enter a description
(maximum 63 characters).

Changing the Administrator Password
You can change the administrator password for your vNet
device. The password is case-sensitive, and must be 4 to 16
characters long. The default administrator password is
“dbps”.
Note:
The administrator name,
root
, cannot be
changed.
To change the administrator password:

From the vNet Configuration and Management interface,
choose
Configuration | Security
.

In the Security Settings screen, enter and confirm your
new administrator password.

Click
Apply
.

A message will appear stating that the vNet device
needs to be restarted. Click on the
here
link to restart
the device.

The new password takes effect after the restart has
completed.
