MIXING INDOOR (MIX INDR) (See fig. e)
• MIX INDR is room temperature used in original heat-loss
calculations for the building
• Setting establishes beginning of reset ratio for mixing zones
MIXING MINIMUM (MIX MIN) (See fig. f)
• MIX MIN is lowest temperature control is allowed to use as
MIX TRG temperature.
• During mild conditions, if control calculates a MIX TRG
temperature below MIX MIN setting, MIX TRG temperature
is adjusted to match MIX MIN setting
• If mixing supply temperature is near MIX MIN setting, the
LCD's Minimum pointer turns on (when MIX TRG or MIX
SUP temperature is being viewed)
• If using an indoor sensor and control is operating at MIX MIN
temperature, the mixing system pump (P1) is cycled using
Pulse Width Modulation (PWM) with a 15 minute cycle length
• The Control provides an average supply water temperature
to the mixing system by cycling the mixing system pump
(P1) and controlling the flow of supply water (average
temperature is equal to the original MIX TRG)
NOTE: This step minimizes overheating the zone
while control is operating at MIX MIN temperature.
MIXING ROOM (MIX ROOM) (See fig. g)
• MIX ROOM is desired room temperature for mixing zones
NOTE: There is only a ±3°F (±1°C)
adjustment in the LTD Access Level.
• Provides a parallel shift of reset ratio
NOTE: Room temperature desired by occupants is
often different from designed indoor temperature
(MIX INDR). If room temperature is not correct,
adjusting MIX ROOM setting increases or decreases
the amount of heat available to the building.
MIXING TARGET TEMPERATURE (MIX TRG)
(See fig. h)
• MIX TRG temperature is determined from reset ratio settings
and outdoor air temperature
• The Control displays the temperature it is currently trying to
maintain as mixing supply temperature
• If control does not presently have a requirement for heat,
it displays “---“ in LCD
