BOILER OPERATION
BOILER TARGET TEMPERATURE (Boil TRG)
(See fig. a)
The Boil TRG temperature is determined from the demands
that currently require heat.
• Boiler target temperature is set at least as high as the highest
temperature requirements of the current demands
• The control displays the temperature that it is currently
trying to maintain as the boiler supply temperature in Boil
TRG item in the View Menu
• If the control does not have a current requirement for heat, it
displays “---” in the LCD
BOILER MINIMUM (Boil MIN) (See fig. b)
The Boil MIN is the lowest water temperature that the
SYSTEMpro 311 is allowed to use as a Boil TRG temperature.
• During mild conditions, if the control calculates a Boil TRG
temperature below Boil MIN setting, Boil TRG temperature is
adjusted to at least the Boil MIN setting
• In this mode, if boiler is operating, and boiler supply
temperature is near Boil MIN setting, the Minimum pointer
appears in the LCD while the Boil TRG or the Boil SUP
temperature is viewed
• If installed boiler is designed for low temperature operation,
set Boil MIN adjustment to OFF
BOILER MAXIMUM (Boil MAX) (See fig. c)
The Boil MAX is the highest water temperature the control is
allowed to use as a Boil TRG temperature.
• If control calculates target Boil MAX, and Boil SUP
temperature is near Boil MAX temperature, the Maximum
pointer turns on in the LCD while the Boil TRG or the Boil
SUP temperature is viewed
• At no time does the control operate the boiler above 248°F
(120°C).
