7.2.2 Clean Filter for Speed Control
The M-‐160 piston drive has a filter to ensure rotation at slower speeds. When operating an
M-‐160 at a slower rotation speed, the water must be free of debris and sediment. Locate the
filter and clean as needed, see Figure 14-‐1.

7.2.3 Cleaning the Piston Drive and Piston Drive Area
If the M-‐160 has been observed to “stall” in one position, the piston drive may have
accumulated debris or sediment. This requires removal and cleaning and in some severe
instances may require replacement. The piston drive is under a threaded cap beneath the
sprinkler cap and is located on the opposite side of the main nozzle, see Figure 14-‐1.
