INSTALLATION CONTINUED

LEVELING THE SCALE

Unit has an illuminated level indicator as a reminder

that the scale should be leveled for accurate weighing.

There is a level bubble in a small round window on

the front of the scale. To level, adjust the feet at each

corner until the bubble is centered in the circle. Be sure

the equipment is level each time its location is changed.

(See Figure 5)

CONNECTING POWER

AC ADAPTER INSTALLATION

NOTE: AC power is used to power the scale
when battery power is not needed.

Connect the AC adapter (included) to the AC adapter

input jack at the rear of the scale, and connect the AC

plug to an electrical outlet. (See Figure 5)

BATTERY INSTALLATION

Install the four AA batteries with polarity as shown in the

battery compartment. (See Figure 6)

NOTE: After powering on the unit, it is
recommended to let it warm for at least five
minutes before using.

INITIAL CALIBRATION

When the scale is first installed, and when it is moved

to another location, it must be calibrated to ensure

accurate weighing results.

Scale must be calibrated by using the external

calibration weights.

Have the appropriate calibration masses available

before beginning calibration. Refer to

Calibration Operation section on page 6 for

masses and calibration procedure.
