2.2
Compatibility
All technical data refers to the
BL ident®
system, i.e. the combinations of
BL ident®
data carriers, read/
write heads and fieldbus modules. Different values may apply to data carriers of other vendors.
2.3
Transmission frequency
The TURCK
BL ident®
system operates at nationally specified transmission frequencies in the UHF range
(840...960 MHz) between the data carriers and the read/write heads. These national transmission
frequencies for UHF are specified by the relevant national regulation authorities according to the
frequency ranges individually allocated.
UHF systems in this frequency range achieve a longer read/write range than HF systems, of typically
several meters. The operating frequency of devices in the UHF band is, for example, 865...868 MHz in
Europe and 902...928 MHz in the USA.
BL ident®
read/write heads for the UHF band can only be used in
the specified countries and must not be put into operation outside of these regions. As
BL ident®
UHF
data carriers are passive devices, they do not radiate any of their own radio waves and are therefore
suitable for worldwide use.
TURCK offers data carrier variants that are specially designed and optimized for specific national
frequency bands in order to achieve as large a communication range as possible.
Alternatively broad-band multi-range data carriers are available for international use.
The various TURCK read/write heads support the following transmission frequencies:
865...868 MHz (e.g.for Europe)
902...928 MHz (e.g. for USA/Canada)
840...845 MHz and 920...925 MHz (e.g. for China)
902...907.5 MHz and 915...928 MHz (e.g. for Brazil)
917...920.8 MHz (e.g. for Korea)
