Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS)
The following applies in the event that it is necessary to connect
the system to an uninterruptible power supply (UPS):
■
When working out the dimensions of the UPS, the short-cir-
cuit and overload responses of the UPS system are to be
taken into account alongside the continuous power and the
electrical connected loads.
■
As a rule: overload capacity of the UPS ≥200 % for 0.5 s.
Note
The dimensioning of the uninterruptible power supply must be
established without fail by the manufacturer of the UPS plant!
Equipotential bonding
Note
Equipotential bonding of the machine is recommended. The posi-
tion is marked by a sticker on the machine frame.
TRUMPF recommends installation of a 16 mm
2
ground connec-
tion (protective bonding conductor) within a distance of 2.5 m
from the following objects:
■
Metal tubes.
■
Safety fences.
■
Conductors.
■
Handrails.
Residual current device (RCD)
Notes
■
Whether a residual current circuit breaker has to be used
depends on the local electricity company.
■
The customer must, if necessary, provide a residual current
circuit breaker.
■
TRUMPF recommends a fault current circuit breaker with a
fault current of 1 A and a reaction time of 1 second.
