LED

• Data. The Data LED fl ashes when the mo-

dem is transmitting/receiving data to/from an-

other modem.
• CD (Carrier Detect). The CD LED lights when

the modem detects a valid carrier signal from

another modem. It is on when the modem is

communicating with the other modem and off

when the link is broken.
• OH (Off-Hook). The OH LED lights when the

modem is off-hook, which occurs when the mo-

dem is dialing, online, or answering a call. The

LED fl ashes when the modem pulse-dials.
• TR (Terminal Ready). The TR LED lights

when Windows detects and initializes the mo-

dem.

(Carrier Detect). The CD LED will turn on whenever the modem in the

terminal completes a successful handshake and connects with the Host mo-

dem.

• RX

(Receive Data). The RX LED will turn on whenever the modem in the ter-

minal is receiving data from the Host or the mainboard.

• TX

(Transmit Data). The TX LED will turn on whenever the modem in the

terminal is transmitting data to the Host or the mainboard.

• TR: (Terminal Ready). The TR LED will turn on (and stay on) whenever the

Windows OS detects the modem and initializes the driver (+3.3v supply volt-

age is present at the modem).
