1. "Shutdown the Terminal" from Management Functions.
2. Unlock and open the control pan el.
3. Push the AC pow er ON/OFF switch to the OFF(0) po si tion.
4. Refer to Figure 3-38. Disconnect the telephone line from the PCMCIA adapter
/ activity status monitor.
5. Refer to Figure 3-38. Dis con nect the PCMCIA adapter / activity status moni-
tor from the PCMCIA mo dem.
6. Refer to Figure 3-39. Push the PCMCIA card eject but ton to eject the Multi-
Tech PCMCIA mo dem from the top slot on the XScale mainboard.
7. The MultiTech PCMCIA modem card and the PCMCIA adapter / activity status
monitor should be removed as a complete PCMCIA modem assembly.

• The MultiTech PCMCIA modem is no longer supported. If it fails, it must
be replaced with either a MultiTech or Triton USB modem.
1. Make sure the AC pow er ON/OFF switch is in
the OFF(0) po si tion.
2. Refer to Figure 3-40. Push the MultiTech
PCMCIA modem card into the upper PC M CIA
slot on the mainboard.
3. Refer to Figure 3-38. Connect the PCMCIA
adapter / activity status monitor to the PCMCIA
mo dem.
4. Push the AC pow er ON/OFF switch to the ON(I)
position.
5. Close and lock the control pan el.
