Compression Types

The InterScan Gateway Security Appliance scan engine can extract and scan files 
compressed using any of the most popular compression types (listed below). 
InterScan Gateway Security Appliance can also check for viruses being "smuggled" 
within nested compressions, for example, an infected file that is zipped, 
ARJ-compressed, MS-compressed, and zipped again. 

The maximum number of recursive scan layers is 20. You can set this limit from the 

Scanning > Target

 pages of the Web console, for all four protocols.
