All scannable files 

- InterScan Gateway Security Appliance scans all files, 

except password-protected or encrypted files

•

IntelliScan — True file type identification

 - IntelliScan examines the 

header of every file, but based on certain indicators, selects only files that it 
determines are susceptible for virus scanning. Scans files by an intelligent 
combination of true file type scanning and exact extension name filtering. 

•
