8 Installation

(for qualified installers only)

Recommended Installation Procedure



Frame the opening for the fireplace. Make sure to allow for vent and inlet duct installation.



Place the fireplace in position and secure to floor.



Install the exhaust vent, air inlet, gas line, electrical line, and battery box (power heat ducts if
applicable).



Test operation of the fireplace before attaching fiber-board or drywall. This allows the installer to
verify all connections and diagnose issues with the fireplace exterior accessible.



Install included non-combustible framing above fireplace.



Attach included fiber-board to fireplace and framing. Install 2” fiber-board strip above facing
guide.



Install the drywall and/or facing.



Install the hearth (if applicable).



Install the facing (if applicable).



Install the mantel (if applicable).



Finalize the installation (see page 43).
