Approved Vent Configurations 

Maximum Vent Run and Rise 

The fireplace vent must meet the following requirements: 

 

Maximum Horizontal Run = 100’ (30 M)* 

 

Maximum Vertical Rise = 140’ (42 M)* 

 Maximum 

90˚ Elbows = 4 (note: two 45˚ elbows count as one 90˚ elbow) 

 

Maximum Vertical Drop = 3’ (1 M) Below base of fireplace 

 

Minimum Vent Length  = 54” (1372mm) 

* Those installations with a total vent length over 140’ (42 M), contact Travis Industries for further review 
and approval.
