4 Replacement Procedures 

Satellite A20 Maintenance Manual (960-444)

3.  Pass the LCD cable through the hole from the top of the display assembly toward its 

bottom. 

4.  Close the display cover and turn the display assembly face down. 

5.  Place the cable earth plate first and then place the cable hold plate on the display 

cable and secure them with the following screws. 

NOTE:

  Before securing, make sure the cable hold plate is securely fit to the 

guide on the chassis.

6.  Install the display cover to the two hinges of the display assembly and secure it with 

the following screws.

7.  Place the metal plate on the LCD cable and secure it with the following screw.

8.  Install the latch assembly on the display cover. First, install the switch (light blue) on 

the front side of the computer. Then, install the inside switch (dark blue) with spring 
so that three slots of the inside switch are attach to the switch. 

NOTE

:  When installing the latch assembly, move the switch several times to 

check it is working properly. Make sure the switch interlocks the inside switch.
