1.2 Input/Output and Send/Receive Operation
The FL654A takes one continuous talker area and one continuous listener area in Area 1 or Area 2
of FL-net cyclic transmission common memory. The talker and listener areas are independent of one
another. The FL654A cyclically transfers the input data of the input module to the talker area as send
data and the receive data of the listener area to the output module as output data. The FL-net cyclic
transmission periodically sends the data of the talker area and stores the receive data in the listener
area.
The figure below shows an example of assigning both the talker and listener areas to Area 2.
