Chapter 4 Maintenance and Inspection

4.3 Maintenance Parts

To recover from failure quickly, it is recommended to keep the following spare parts.

Table 4-3 Maintenance parts

Avoid storing spare parts in extremely hot or wet places.

4.4 Replacing Modules

Turn OFF the power, replace a module, and turn ON the power again on each remote I/O station.

The procedure for this is as follows:

(1) Turn OFF power to the remote I/O station.

(2) Remove the existing module

(3) Install the new module in the same switch position as the removed module

(4) Turn ON the power to the remote I/O station.

WARNING

At the time of replacement, work so as not to
approach the equipment connected to the station that
has not been turned off.

If the device is connected to a station that has not been turned
off, the operation status may change depending on the request
from the master station, which may cause electric shock or
injury.

Mandatory

Note

・

While a module is being replaced, the master station and the remaining remote I/O stations

continue scan transmission.

・

If the power of an intermediate expansion unit is turned OFF, I/O modules installed in an

expansion unit after such an expansion unit make no response to input/output.

Supplement

・

It is necessary to register the parameter to exchanged modules again.

4.5 Disposing Modules

Follow the local regulations when disposing modules.
