Connecting Hardware Devices

SCSI devices

Partially position the device in the empty device bay slot, and then connect the
power and signal cables.

Connecting the power and signal cables

Slide the device into the device bay slot until the rail latches click, indicating that the
device is locked into position.

Locking the SCSI device into position

Reinstall the access panel, reconnect all signal and power cables, then turn on the
server. For instructions, read steps 7 through 10 in

Maintenance overview

on page

53.
