To convert the mower deck to mulching,
remove the deflector and close the mulching
cover.

Note:

The cover locks automatically when

it is closed fully.

During Operation

Starting the Machine

1.

Sit on the operator’s seat.

2.

Release the parking brake.

3.

Ensure that the blade-control switch (PTO) is
disengaged.

4.

Move the drive-mode switch to the N

EUTRAL

position.

5.

Turn the key switch to the O

N

position.

Driving the Machine

Note:

Always use caution when backing up and

turning.

1.

Disengage the parking brake.

2.

Move the drive-mode switch to the F

ORWARD

or

R

EVERSE

position.

3.

Place your foot on the traction-control pedal and
slowly press it to start driving.

Note:

The farther you press the pedal, the

faster the machine moves.

4.

Release the traction-control pedal and slowly
press the brake pedal to stop or slow the
machine.

Note:

Stop the machine before changing

direction to forward or reverse.

Shutting Off the Machine

1.

Park the machine on a level surface.

2.

Disengage the mower blades.

3.

Engage the parking brake.

4.

Turn the key switch to the O

FF

position and

remove the key.
