Key Switch

The key switch has 2 positions: O

N

and O

FF

. Use the

key switch to start or shut off the machine.

Blade-Control Switch (Power
Takeoff)

The blade-control switch, represented by a
power-takeoff (PTO) symbol, engages and
disengages power to the mower blades.

Brake Pedal

Use the brake pedal to stop or slow the machine.

Parking-Brake Lever

Whenever you shut off the machine, engage the
parking brake to prevent accidental movement of the
machine.

To engage the parking brake, pull the parking-brake
lever up.

Traction-Control Pedal

Use the traction-control pedal to vary the ground
speed of the machine. The farther you press the
pedal, the faster the machine moves.

Drive-Mode Switch

The drive-mode switch has 3 positions: F

ORWARD

N

EUTRAL

, and R

EVERSE

. The drive-mode switch must

be in the F

ORWARD

position before engaging the

mower blades.

Note:

An audible alarm sounds when the drive-mode

switch is in the R

EVERSE

position. The machine moves

in reverse at half the forward speed.
