23) Assembling Crank Shaft
1. Insert a holding bar

in between crank webs and press-
fit bearing (lower) using suitable pipe

Install bearing so that marked side faces upward.
2. Press-fit bearing (upper) in the same way of bearing
(lower).
6. Inspection of Piston Pins
Measure piston pin outer diameter, and replace piston pin
if the outer diameter is over the limit.
Piston Pin Outer Diameter : Standard Value
14.00 mm (0.5512 in)
Functional Limit :
13.98 mm (0.5504 in)

7. Inspection of Piston Pin Clearance
Calculate piston pin clearance, and replace piston and
piston pin together if the clearance is over the limit.
Calculation of Piston Pin Clearance :
Piston Pin Hole Inner Diameter - Piston Pin
Outer Diameter
Standard Value :
-0.003 - +0.009 mm (-0.00012 - +0.00035 in)
Functional Limit :
0.020 mm (0.00079 in)
Use the maximum values of piston pin hole inner
diameters and piston pin outer diameters
measured respectively.
