Technical Description of TANDBERG 8000 with software version E3/B8
D12008 Rev. 11

4.5.1.2
Specification audio line Inputs
Audio in 4
:
Input 4 enables connection of a microphone amplifier or a microphone mixer if more than 3
microphones are required.
When using an external mixer, it is very important that this is a fixed mixer. Automatic, smart
and other types of adaptive mixer will cause the echo canceller to malfunction.
Audio in 5
:
This input is labelled AUX and is intended for connection to external playback devices or to
telephone add-on hybrids.
As there is no acoustic echo canceller on this input, microphone mixers should
not
be
connected.
Audio in 6
:
This input is specially designed for connection to a VCR but may also be connected to other
playback devices. This input will automatically be reduced if a microphone is activated (VCR
ducking).
Note:
When mode is set to
Auto
for this input, it will not be enabled unless Video input 4
(i.e.VCR) is selected.
As there is no acoustic echo canceller on this input, microphones mixers should
not
be
connected.
