Flipped Image
Without the introduction of additional techniques not provided by the standard SS-OCT system, there is no
distinguishing between photons that traveled a distance
d shorter or longer from the beam splitter to the sample
compared to the reference arm length. When adjusting the reference length to be too long, the image appears
flipped.
