Using Templates in Thermo Xcalibur Instrument Setup

The Method Editor in the Xcalibur Instrument Setup (

Figure 45

) window has templates for

different experiment types, including environmental and food safety (EFS) and peptide
analysis (PA).

From Xcalibur Instrument Setup window, you can use the Method Editor to create an
instrument method for your experiment:

1. Open the system template designed for the experiment type that you want to perform.

2. Enter the parameters specific to the experiment.

3. Save the entries as part of an Xcalibur instrument method (.meth file name extension).

For additional information, refer to the Help.
