Warning!
If you use force, the ATX connector can also be connected to the connection on the
mainboard in false direction! The ATX connector must be connected easily and click into
place without any problems by means of the lateral clip.
• The ATX mains unit is equipped with a 4-pin ATX2.0 12V connector (see chapter 13.d) which is
required for many mainboards (e.g. for mainboards for Intel-P4 or AMD64 processors). It is
intended for additionally connecting the +12V voltage to the mainboard via additional lines (in
order to relieve the +12V line of the ATX power connector).
If your mainboard is equipped with this connection, strictly connect it to this connector.
Otherwise, later the computer will not start.
Nevertheless, do
not
use the 4-pin connector that you have removed from the large 24-
pin ATX connector. This connector is assigned differently and involves destruction of the
mainboard!
• Place the cables inside the computer neatly and straight and make sure that they are not jammed
or otherwise damaged. Protect the cables against sharp edges inside the computer housing.
Make sure the cables cannot get into a fan.
To secure the cables inside the computer housing use e.g. cable fasteners.
• Check whether the Power key at the front of the ATX housing is connected to the respective
connection on the mainboard.
â
Switching on via the mains switch does
not
switch on the computer (might be modified
via the BIOS setting)!
• Close the housing of your computer and reconnect it to your other devices, cables and
accessories.
• Now, connect the computer to the mains voltage and switch the ATX mains unit on via the mains
switch on its rear side.
â
The computer does not start yet. Briefly press the Power key at the front of the ATX
housing to switch on the computer.
• If your computer does not start correctly, switch it off immediately and check all settings and cable
connections.
Before opening the housing for the check, make sure all devices are switched off
and separated from the mains voltage. Switching off via the mains switch is not
sufficient. Unplug the mains plug!
