6. Operating Elements and Connections
â
The rear side might have a slightly different look (e.g. arrangement of mains jack and
mains switch).
a) Mains Jack (Jack for Cold Devices)
This jack (
C
) on the rear side of the mains unit ensures the power supply.
b) Mains Switch
By means of the mains switch (
D
) the mains unit is switched on/off.
â
For this, strictly observe topic 5 of this operating manual!
c) Fan
The fan (
A
) aspires air from the housing and blows it outwards through several small apertures (
B
)
on the rear of the mains unit. The big 120mm fan not only ensures a large amount of air, but also silent
operation. The fan speed can be modified (speed regulator is enclosed in delivery). Moreover, a
speed output is provided.
Never cover the ventilation apertures of the mains unit. Due to the heat accumulation, the
mains unit and the connected components will be destroyed!
d) Screw Holes
The four screw holes (
E
) at the outer edges of the mains unit are intended for attaching the mains
unit inside the computer housing. If possible, use all four holes to attach the device in the computer
housing. Otherwise, the high weight of the mains unit might involve damages of the computer housing
(e.g. during transport).
