3.3.1.11 Interrupt 19 Capture
Interrupt 19 is the software interrupt that handles the boot disk function. When this
item is set to Enabled, the ROM BIOS of the host adaptors will “capture” Interrupt
19 at boot and allow the drives that are attached to these host adaptors to function as
bootable disks. If this item is set to Disabled, the ROM BIOS of the host adaptors
will not capture Interrupt 19, and the drives attached to these adaptors will not func-
tion as bootable devices. The options are
Enabled (default) and Disabled.
3.3.1.12 EUP Support
EuP, or Energy Using Product is a European energy-saving specification that sets a
standard on the maximum total power consumption on electrical products. Select
Enable to activate EuP support, select
Disabled for normal S5 sleep mode (system
wakeup capability).
3.3.2 Processor and Clock Options
When you first enter the Processor and Clock Options, the current processor and
clock configuration is displayed. Below it are the different options that can be modi-
fied:
3.3.2.1 CPU Ratio
If set to Manual, this option allows the user to manually configure the CPU clock
ratio. The options are
Auto (default) and Manual.
3.3.2.2 Clock Spread Spectrum
Select Enable to use the feature of Clock Spectrum, which will allow the BIOS to
monitor and attempt to reduce the level of Electromagnetic Interference caused by
the components whenever needed. The options are
Disabled (default) and Enabled.
Caution: Take Caution when changing the Advanced settings. An incorrect value,
a very high DRAM frequency or incorrect DRAM timing may cause system to be-
come unstable. When this occurs, revert to the default setting.
Note: If an invalid ratio is entered, the AMI BIOS will restore the setting to the
previous state.
