3.3.2.8 Intel AES-NI (When supported by the CPU)

Intel® AES instructions are a new set of instructions available beginning with the all
new 2010 Intel® Core

TM

 processor family based on the 32nm Intel® microarchitec-

ture. These instructions enable fast and secure data encryption and decryption, using
the Advanced Encryption Standard (AES). The options are Disabled and 

Enabled

.

3.3.2.9 Simultaneous Multi-Threading (Available when supported by 

the CPU)

Set to Enabled to use the Hyper-Threading Technology, which will result in
increased CPU performance. The options are Disabled and 

Enabled

 (default).

3.3.2.10 Active Processor Cores

Set to Enabled to use a processor's Second Core and beyond. (Please refer to Intel's
web site for more information.) The options are 

All

 (default)

3.3.2.11 Intel® EIST Technology

EIST (Enhanced Intel SpeedStep Technology) allows the system to automatically
adjust processor voltage and core frequency in an effort to reduce power consump-
tion and heat dissipation. (Please refer to Intel’s web site for detailed information.)
The options are Disable: Disable GV3

 

(default) and 

Enable: Enable GV3

3.3.2.12 Intel® TurboBoost Technology (Available when Intel® EIST 

Technology is enabled)

This feature allows processor cores to run faster than marked frequency in specific
conditions. The options are 

Enabled 

(default) and Disabled.

3.3.2.13 C1E Support

Select Enabled to use the feature of Enhanced Halt State. C1E significantly reduces
the CPU's power consumption by reducing the CPU's clock cycle and voltage during
a “Halt State.” The options are Disabled and 

Enabled

 (default).

3.3.2.14 C-STATE Tech

If enabled, C-State is set by the system automatically to either C2, C3, or C4 state.
The options are Disabled and 

Enabled

 (default).
