Connecting passive or active speakers
The output of the soundcard is suitable for connecting passive speakers/headphones or active
speakers/stereo systems. It is designated as „Out“, and can be adjusted to suit your playback
devices by means of the installation software and the mixer control. The 2x4 Watt amplifier on
the card is adequate for operating headphones or a pair of small passive speakers. If you wish
to connect a stereo system, connect the output of your soundcard to the AUX input of your
stereo system. The amplifier must also be switched off if you connect active speakers (with a
built-in amplifier).See also chapter ”The Mixer Panel, under DOS”.
