Interrupt Conflict
IRQ 5 is the standard setting of the soundcard in the SB mode. This is also a standard setting in
most DOS games. The following table illustrates the interrupt distribution in a standard PC.
Please also note that interrupt 15 is used for the second enhanced IDE interface when an ATAPI-
IDE CD-ROM drive is connected to the
SoundSystem Maestro32/96
. If this interface already
exists, either on the motherboard or in a separate controller, you are advised to use this interface.

Always try to release the interrupts of the slots which are not used in BIOS. Please also read
the instructions in the manual of your motherboard.
I/O Address Conflict
It is probably extremely unlikely that there will be a conflict with the preset SB address 220H.
Again, all games and applications which use sound output under DOS are set to this address.
You can change the setting to 240H in the event of any conflict.
With the MPU-401 address 330H, there may occasionally be conflicts with common SCSI
controllers. If you therefore do not have any Wavetable output (general MIDI), you might be
able to obtain help by changing this address. Please also note that the address 170H is also
used when an ATAPI-IDE CD-ROM drive is connected.
